Once a week (weather permitting) members of the WWU Physics & Astronomy Department gather
to view the cosmos with our 12-inch Meade Telescope.
You are invited to join us on this spectacular journey.
OUR TELESCOPE IS OUT FOR REPAIR UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE SPRING 2008.
| When? | Most Wednesdays starting at civil twilight or 7:00 pm, whichever is later. Remember, if you look up and you can't see stars, then neither can we! We only meet on nights that are at least half clear with no chance of rain.
|
| |
| Where? | Just outside the WWU Communication Facility (Get a map here)
|
| |
| Who? | Observing is led by undergraduates of the WWU Physics & Astronomy Department. All ages are welcome to join us, from little kids on up. To bring a large group or schedule additional events, please contact us.
|
| |
| What? | Observing is fun and interesting, but involves a lot of standing around, so
most people are surprised by how cold they get. Don't forget to bring warm clothes!
