Three acrylic plates are used on an overhead projector.  One plate has a single bar magnet.  The other two plates each have two bar magnets, one in a parallel arrangement and the other in anti-parallel. Sprinkling irons filing over the plate and tapping it will reveal the lines of the magnetic field.
