Digital protractor - Location: 1.A.3
Equipment Image
Two digital protractors can be used to measure angles. The first is a mini digital block that can be set almost anywhere but is harder for a class to read.
The second is about 25 cm long and has a large, back-lit display.
Brackets are attached to a Pasco track so that the protractor can be attached via its built-in magnets. For example, this can be used to measure the angle of the track at which a wooden block will break away and start to slide. Note that the display takes a second or two to settle on an angle value.
