Exploding Wire
- Turn the Power Supply to Standby.
- Turn the B+ Output down fully counterclockwise.
- Set the Knife Switch to connect the power supply to the capacitor (to the left in the figure).
- Turn the power supply to On.
- Slowly increase the B+ Output voltage, keeping the current shown by the right-hand meter below 100 mA.
- When the voltage reaches 350 V (shown by the left-hand meter), set the knife switch to its center position, turn the B+ Output knob down to 0, and switch the power supply to Standby.Set the knife switch to connect the capacitor to the 1A Fuse Wire (to the right in the figure). POOF!!!
- Carefully touch the alligator clips together to fully discharge the capacitor.
- Turn the power supply to Off.
