A 12VAC electromagnet strikes a disk of carbon paper at 60 times/sec and transfers a dot to the strip of paper.  Tape the end of the tape to a cart on a tilted track, plug in the timer and release the cart.  Measure the distances between holes.  You may need to unroll 4-5 feet of paper tape so that the cart will pull it freely through the timer.

If the timer is to be used with a track, slip the small aluminum plate under the timer mount and use a small C-clamp to attach the timer across the end of the track
